Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Kaitlyn Bishop and I am an aspiring film producer/screenwriter who attended Savannah College of Arts and Design! As a kid at the age of 9 I would always make little movies through the iMovie app and make my friends act in them. As the years passed, I found a love for acting and took 5-6 years of acting classes and had experiences on set as a featured extra.

 

When I was on set for Goosebumps 2  (Directed by Ari Sandel), I didn't realize how interesting the roles were from behind the camera as well.  Throughout my life I have watched so many different types of movies and TV shows that varied between the simple one or two camera setups to more complex with multiple visual angles. It created a fascination in me to create and tell stories that have either appealing visual effects or captivate the audience through storytelling.

As part of my storytelling I have learned the importance of scriptwriting. As I started my first year at SCAD, I came in with a minor of dramatic writing and left college with a minor in producing. Over my time at SCAD I got to experiment with all types of films as a Production Assistant, Co- Director, and Producer. I had the opportunity to explore producing and found my love for a mix of both of my interests. Development producing interests me as I am on the hunt for jobs.

I have learned how to do script coverage, production development, funding and budgeting, logistics, transportation , and so much more. I learned how to manage the creative environment.

​

I have been able to meet other colleagues who practice professionalism and I believe that we are now the generation to introduce a new version of collaboration and make some incredible projects together.

​

I strive to produce and make films that bring the audience to an emotional surface. Life has so much to it that we as people need to explore and If I can represent the beauty of it through story telling, then I will make sure to pursue my career in doing so. Some examples of work I have done are:
